Biography
Austin Hackl’s work has always revolved around the concept of understanding some aspect of the unknown, the focus of that exploration is constantly shifting depending on where he might be in the present or what he finds interesting at that time. Ideas and concepts that he finds interesting include a multitude of spiritual beliefs and practices, as well as films, music and nature, especially plants. He uses painting techniques that is constantly changing and evolving. He always seeks new innovation and use the materials in an original or unique way, to blend them so you can’t tell where one color or brush stroke begins or ends or to create texture with the thickness and buildup of paint. 

Education
2018-2020 – Started an artistic career with a studio practice based on Inner Space.

2000-Present – Art Instructor, Kalamoun University, Damascus.
