Biography
Joseph Taveras is an American roboticist, designer, and artist who delved into the world of painting at the beginning of Covid-19 pandemic (March 2020). As a robotics expert, Taveras had no prior experience in the arts but harnessed the period of isolation to rapidly explore a myriad of styles and mediums. His artistic journey has revolved around four key interests: oneness and interconnectedness, the ego and relativistic multiplicity, the infinite power of the human mind, and the fusion of science and philosophy.

Over the past two years, Taveras’ innovative and thought-provoking creations have found their way into over 300 private collections around the world. Taveras’ artworks are in public and private collections in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Inspirations
Continually pushing the boundaries of artistic expression, Taveras explores novel techniques that mirror both his inner and outer environments while questioning our shared future, societal norms, and the inexorable fusion of humanity with technology.

Rooted in modern philosophy, sociology, and science fiction, his ever-evolving style is a testament to his background in robotics. For two years, he served as Marketing Director for TEMI, a leading personal robotics company, where he helped disseminate state-of-the-art robotic technology worldwide and witnessed firsthand the awe-inspiring yet daunting impacts of innovation on humanity.

Drawing inspiration from a wide variety of music, ancient religious texts, and intensive studies in psychology, Taveras fuses cubist principles with a futuristic graffiti style that is uniquely his own. In doing so, he promotes awareness of our interconnected existence, challenging the ego’s role in modern society, while harmonizing the realms of science and philosophy.
