Zahra Nazari (b.1985 Hamedan, Iran) lives and works in New York City. Her work deals with issues such as identity, immigration, and globalization. Her imagery is based on traditional Middle Eastern architecture and Postmodernist western architecture.

Nazari was a recipient of The AIM Fellowship from the Bronx Museum; Mentoring Program from New York Foundation for the Arts; Artist Residency Fellowship from Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, Visiting Artist Fellowship from the Cooper Union School of Art in New York City and Vermont Studio Center. She has exhibited both nationally and internationally in galleries and museums such as Bronx Museum, Bronx, NY; China Millennium Monument, Beijing, China; Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art, New Paltz, NY; Saba Institution, Tehran, Iran and Spartanburg Art Museum, Spartanburg, SC.
