Biography
Jozza combines Pop Art and Graffiti in his work. Jozza creates his artistic vision with vibrant imagery and combinations of bright color and hard-edged abstract subjects. His paintings depict cities full of rhythm, nightclubs, subways and restaurants where urban life subjects are the heartbeat and soul of society. Inspired by Andy Warhol, Robert Indiana, Romero Britto and Peter Max.
In 2000, Jozza started his art study under Romero Britto, a Brazilian renowned artist living in Miami. Britto recognized Jozza’s artistic potential and invited him to work with him at his studio in Miami which lasted for two years.
Jozza’s colorful, shimmering, animated subjects have been captured in over 1,000 works around the world to date. His work is included in public and private collections in the Americas. In 2009, he was given a rare distinction to create original artworks using the Disney characters and produced limited editions of his work which is an honor bestowed on master painters like Peter Max before him.
